Volatility – Quick Update

Volatility is once again taking the lead—and the message it’s sending could define the next market move. Beneath the surface, multi-timeframe signals are starting to align, hinting that the current calm may be anything but stable.
In this quick update, we break down the latest technical signals across key frames to determine whether volatility is truly rolling over—or quietly preparing for another surge that could add renewed pressure on the markets.
CANDLES

Bulls showed their strength today. All four instruments I track for volatility closed with green candles and above the 8 EMA short-term support. The candle combinations were not decisive—neutral at best—and still require confirmation.
Looking at the 8D frame, which closed today for most instruments, both candles and trends were also bullish. The US VIX, which closes the 15D frame tomorrow, is on track for a solid bullish continuation unless there is a sharp drop.
Overall, short-term volatility is closer to a neutral stance, which would make it easier for bears to gain the advantage, but decisive signals have yet to appear. The mid- and long-term odds remain firmly bullish for now.
