Microsoft – Short Term

Microsoft surged nearly 5% today, extending its powerful advance and approaching the $492 area. The larger trend remains bullish, but the daily frame is now deeply overbought. The statistics are calling—and they suggest that the odds of a tactical pullback have increased significantly. Overbought conditions do not guarantee an immediate reversal, but they make further upside increasingly vulnerable to consolidation or a sharp retracement.
The first prospective support is near $450, approximately 8% below today’s high. A deeper move toward $420 would represent roughly 14% downside and remain technically acceptable within the broader bullish structure. Either path could relieve the current stretch and establish a healthier foundation for another advance, while chasing Microsoft at present levels offers a considerably less attractive risk/reward.
