GOOGL: Did We Arrive — or Is This Only the First Stop?

Back on October 3, GOOGL was trading around $343.50, and the chart was quietly pointing somewhere considerably less fashionable. Our working roadmap called for a developing wave C, with the first meaningful target around $290 and a broader destination zone extending toward roughly $265. At the time, that meant asking investors to imagine a decline of 15–20% while the market was still behaving as if everything was perfectly civilized. Always a popular conversation.

One month later, GOOGL is around $280 — roughly 18.5% lower. The $290 checkpoint was not merely visited; Google apparently drove past it without stopping for coffee. More importantly, the original channel and wave structure have tracked remarkably well, and price has now entered the target area we marked a month ago. Sometimes Elliott Wave gives you philosophy. Sometimes it gives you a delivery address.
Now comes the much more interesting question: does wave C simply need a little more work — or have we been watching the early stages of wave 3 of something much larger and considerably more concerning? Those two interpretations may look similar for a while, but their longer-term implications are radically different. At these levels, the October roadmap has largely delivered. The next job is figuring out whether GOOGL is approaching a destination… or whether this was merely the first major stop on a much longer route.
That is exactly what we will tackle in the GOOGL Weekend Analysis. Once the election noise settles, we will put the monthly and weekly candles, momentum, Elliott Wave structure, and the broader Magnificent 7 picture on the same table and ask the question that matters now: is GOOGL completing a correction — or beginning a decline of a much higher degree? We will map the levels that separate those two paths, the next downside objectives if the bearish structure accelerates, and what the bulls would have to do to prove the October selloff has finally run its course.
The October call was about the destination.
This weekend is about finding out whether we arrived — or whether the road just got much longer.
